Trip Overview

Day 01:  Arrival - Nairobi

Pick up from the airport on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Overnight stay at chosen accommodation 


Day 02:  Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Pick up from your hotel at 0800hrs then drive towards Mt. Kenya region and take a full afternoon visit to Ol Pejeta.  Dinner and overnight stay at chosen accommodation
Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

Day 03: Sweetwater's - Lake Nakuru National Park

Breakfast then depart the camp for Lake Nakuru National park arriving in good time for lunch at a camp. Full afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at chosen accommodation

 Lake Nakuru National park, one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a famed bird sanctuary. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species– particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Other wildlife like Lions, waterbucks, buffalo, and baboons are all residents here.

Day 04: Lake Nakuru - Hells Gate

Check out of the lodge after breakfast and proceed to Lake Naivasha. Visit hells gate national park- this park can be explored on foot or by cycling- bicycles are available for hire at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight stay at chosen accommodation

Hells Gate National Park can be explored on foot or by cycling- bicycles are available for hire at an extra cost. Hells gate national park is characterized by diverse topography and geological scenery. It has historically been an important home for the rare lammergeyer, but it is now thought that the famous pair of birds may not have nested in the park for several years.
One is encouraged to hike and cycle in the park. This is a rarity in Kenyan National Parks, and is only made possible due to the lack of large predators such as lions and cheetahs

 

Day 05: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve

Morning boat ride at Lake Naivasha (extra cost US$ 30 per person) There after we drive to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley .Arrive at the camp in time for lunch Full afternoon game drive till dusk when we return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06 & 07: Masai Mara National Reserve

Full days spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5 with a possibility of seeing the spectacular annual wildebeest migration that takes place from July through to October .Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450. Dinner and overnight at chosen accommodation Meal Plan: {B, L, D}

The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded.

Day 08: Walking with the Masai guides.

Breakfast at leisure then proceed for  a two-hours nature walk with the Masai guide who is conversant flora and fauna, wildlife, trees and their traditional medicinal value, the Masai peoples traditions he will also teach the children some bush survival tips like knowing how to behave in the presence of wild animals. Finally visit the visit the Masai manyattas where a local Masai guide will give you an intriguing account of the Masai people and their traditions that have stood the test of time and still prevail on the plains, the families too have a chance of participating in the local Masai traditional dance. Drive to Nairobi with packed lunch - visit the Giraffe centre where the children would feed the giraffes by hand – proceed to the carnivore restaurant for dinner – drop off at the airport there after to board your home bound flight or your Nairobi hotel .
