Trip Overview

Day 01:  Nairobi - Lake Bogoria

Our guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel at 0730hrs and drive via the scenic floor of the spectacular Rift Valley from the top of an escarpment, dotted with its string of lakes that is a great introduction to the natural beauty of the region. We arrive Lake Bogoria Resort in good time for lunch then explore the Lake Bogoria national park in the afternoon.

Lake Bogoria, a shallow soda lake set amidst beautiful scenery. Like the other Kenyan soda lakes, it has no outlet and the intense evaporation leads to high levels of salt and minerals, which flamingos love and from a distance the surface of the water appears bright pink. Next to the lake are steaming hot springs and geysers. This lake is a home for numerous species of bird especially the pink flamingos. Dinner and overnight stay at chosen accommodation.


Day 02:  Lake Bogoria - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast continue south to Lake Nakuru National Park, another shallow soda lake famous for its birdlife, and the park is also home to lion, many rhino and if you’re very lucky you may spot a leopard in an Acacia tree. Overnight at chosen accommodation

Lake Nakuru National park, one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a famed bird sanctuary. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species– particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Other wildlife like Lions, waterbucks, buffalo, and baboons are all residents here.

Day 03: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

Breakfast at the camp then proceed for morning game drives as you exit the park and drive to Lake Naivasha, lunch at the hotel. Thereafter take a guided walking safari at Crescent Island. You could opt to visit the adjacent Hells gate national park for hiking or cycling around the park. Dinner and overnight stay at chosen accommodation

Day 04: Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara

We head south to Narok, Lunch en route then proceed to Maasai Mara - game is viewed as we proceed to the Camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at chosen accommodation.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Day 06: Maasai Mara - Nairobi

Breakfast at leisure then travel to Nairobi to arrive by 1500 hrs where the safari ends.
